Ecuador to Develop Road Network With IDB Credit

The Inter-American Development Bank has approved a USD350 million loan for

in Ecuador. The money will be spent on the construction of a new bridge over Babahoyo River and maintenance of some 850 kilometers of motorways linking the cities of Guayaquil, Salinas and Santa Elena. The loan is part of the USD1 billion credit line allotted by IDB to a comprehensive road infrastructure program in the Central American country.
