The European Investment Bank lent some 115.5 million euros (USD160.5 million) to Ukraine for investments in small and medium-sized enterprises, water and sanitation, environment and energy efficiency, the BNO news agency reports.

The bulk of the amount - around 100 million euros - will help strengthen Ukraine’s SME sector. The remaining 15.5 million euros will fund the upgrade of water and wastewater treatment facilities, which is expected to benefit half a million residents.
