EIB to Double Lending to Tunisia

The European Investment Bank is prepared to lend up to USD900 million to Tunisia in 2010. The amount is more than double EIB’s lending to the country in 2009, which totaled USD440 million, Reuters reports. The loans will target projects in Tunisia’s technology, scientific, energy, environment and private sectors, EIB Vice-President Philippe de Fontaine told Reuters.
