Emergency Response Not Over in Haiti

    Over a month has passed since a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti but emergency aid has yet to stop for survivors needing medical attention. The United Nations said USD134 million of the petitioned USD1.4 billion aid budget will be devoted to health-related operations. Some 160 clinics have been set up across Haiti. The U.N. sees moving patients from hospitals to external locations for continued care as one of the biggest challenges in the coming weeks.
