Ethiopia’s Environment, Food Projects Attract JICA Support

Japan and Ethiopia signed a grant agreement to boost environmental preservation and address food-related issues in the African country, a statement from the Ethiopian government said. Ethiopia will use the USD34.8 million provided by the agreement to buy equipment and services needed to implement a forest conservation program as well as a food security and food aid project for “underprivileged” farmers around the country.
