EU Assures Bangladesh of Climate Funding

The European Union has assured Bangladesh that it will follow through with its pledge to help the country address the effects of climate change.

The assurance was given by European Council President Herman Van Rompuy and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso in separate meetings with Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is visiting Belgium as part of a 12-day three-nation trip that will also bring her to Japan and Russia, the Financial Express reports.
