will disburse EUR314 million (USD416 million) for projects seeking to improve farm productivity and food security in 23 developing countries worldwide. The amount is the first disbursement under a EUR1 billion food facility initiated by the bloc last year to address food insufficiency in 50 poor nations. The three-year facility will back small-scale measures to boost farm production as well as social safety nets and the provision of agricultural inputs.
