EU Gives Humanitarian Aid to Iraq War Victims

The European Commission has agreed to provide 18 million euros (USD22 million) in humanitarian assistance to victims of the conflict in Iraq.

The funding will be used to provide vulnerable communities inside Iraq and Iraqi refugees in Syria, Jordan and Lebanon with water, sanitation, basic household systems, access to basic health care and psychosocial support. The funding also covers the provision of security and protection for the target population.
