EU Shores Up Global Humanitarian Response

The European Commission allocated EUR27 million (USD34.8 million) to boost global humanitarian preparedness and response. According to

, the assistance will be channeled to the World Health Organization, U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Food and Agriculture Organization, U.N. International Strategy for Disaster Reduction, UNICEF and World Food Program, along with their main partners and stakeholders.
