EU Supportive of Zimbabwe’s Constitutional Reform

The European Union pledged more than USD8 million in support of Zimbabwe’s constitutional reform initiative, SW Radio Africa reports. The grant will be used to finance the initiative’s outreach campaign, which remains stalled due to lack of funds. The campaign seeks to gather the public’s views on the constitutional reform.

“In order for the project to move forward, we are therefore pleased to grant our approval to the first quarterly work plan which amounts to USD8.117 million,” said Xavier Marchal, the head of the EU delegation to Zimbabwe.
