European Commission Pledges Aid to Horn of Africa

The European Commission has pledged 50 million euros (USD71 million) to

of people living in drought-hit Horn of Africa. Of the sum, 25 million euros will be given to Ethiopia, 13 million euros to Kenya, 7 million euros to Somalia, and the remaining 5 million euros to Uganda. The funds will be channeled through the commission's humanitarian arm.
