Expert discussion on Global Fund reforms

In light of recent reforms, will the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria’s future be promising or bleak?

A panel of experts will try to address this question at a live, interactive webcast June 13.

The discussion, initiated by the Kaiser Family Foundation, will tackle the Global Fund’s reorganization and donor responses to the reforms. Interested individuals can submit questions to the panelists before or during the webcast. Panelists include J. Stephen Morrison of the Global Health Policy Center at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and Todd Summers, chair of the fund’s strategy, investment and impact committee.

The Global Fund underwent several changes after getting caught in controversies last year. Gabriel Jaramillo started working on improving the fund’s operations when he took over as general manager in February.
