FATA students get USAID scholarships

    The United States Agency for International Development, has awarded 22 scholarships to university students from Pakistan’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas. “Through this program, USAID is working to extend quality education to students from underdeveloped and marginalized areas of Sindh, Balochistan and the FATA,” said USAID deputy assistant administrator Mark Ward. “The students who are receiving scholarships will now have the opportunity to build and expand upon the region?s entrepreneurial spirit,” he added. The scholarship program shoulders the cost of books, tuition fees, boarding and lodging expenses.
