Forum explores business opportunities in Haiti

Heads up to investors interested in doing business in Haiti: A multitude of business opportunities in the Caribbean country will be on display June 28-29 in Washington, D.C.

The exhibition of various opportunities in Haiti’s small and large business communities, as well as in ongoing development projects, is part of the third annual Haiti Business Investment Expo & Conference hosted by nonprofit organization Haiti Renewal Alliance.

The expo will feature conference sessions on topics such as the business of arts and culture, infrastructure development, innovative strategies and investments in the country’s energy sector, and tourism development. A session dedicated to project financing and opportunities related to international development initiatives in the country is also on the schedule.

Confirmed speakers and panelists at the conference include senior Haiti diplomats and government officials, Inter-American Development Bank executives, nongovernmental organization representatives and a number of U.S. government officials, among other international experts.
