Fresh World Bank aid package for Nepal

If approved by the World Bank board next week, Nepal can look forward to another USD127 million in funding for the ongoing peace negotiations. The sum will pay for the salaries of the Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist or CPN-M soldiers held in cantonments overseen by the United Nations, and implement health and rural drinking water projects. To date, the agency has committed USD252 million for development efforts in Nepal.
