Gates Foundation in Talks to Fund Zimbabwean City's Infrastructure Projects, Says Official

Zimbabwe and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation are close to sealing an agreement for the rehabilitation of infrastructure in a high-density suburb of Harare, according to the Zimbabwean capital city’s mayor.

“We are currently finalizing the modalities of a US$20 million arrangement with the American based Bill Gates Foundation which has offered to help us resuscitate the infrastructure in Mbare,” Harare Mayor Muchadeyi Masunda said, as quoted by the Botswana Business Diary.
