Georgian City Acquires EBRD Loan

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will release USD3.6 million in credit to help improve transportation in Georgia’s Batumi city. The loan will be used to purchase 100 mid-sized buses and maintenance equipment. “The fleet upgrade will enhance passenger comfort, service levels and make public transport more environmentally friendly, while maintaining affordability for the population,” said Batumi Mayor Robert Chkhaidze.
