Germany Boosts Indonesian Reconstruction Projects

Reconstruction work in Indonesia’s disaster-hit regions will receive major funding boost with the signing of six technical assistance agreements between the country and Germany. Under the agreements, Germany will provide a total of 111 million euros (USD149 million) in soft loans and grants, The Jakarta Post says. Part of the money has already been disbursed for reconstruction projects in the earthquake-ravaged region of Yogyakarta and in tsunami-hit Aceh.
