Germany Outlines 2011-2012 Aid Priorities in Namibia

Germany will provide up to €127 million ($182.56 million) in aid to Namibia for 2011 and 2012 in a mix of loans, grants and technical assistance.

The bulk of the aid will be invested in three key areas: transportation, sustainable economic development and environment protection, according to the German Information Center in Pretoria, South Africa. Germany will also support Namibia’s education sector with an investment of approximately €15 million.
