Ghana Eyes Second MCC Compact

Ghana’s Millennium Development Authority chief Martin Enson-Benjamin is confident the African country will sign a second compact agreement with the Millennium Challenge Corp. after its current USD547 million compact expires in 2012, Ghana News Agency reports. The development official told journalists in Accra that MiDA’s operation has so far been exemplary and without negative audit comments. The disbursement of funds provided under the compact are all on track, he added.
