Global Fund Scales up Malaria Fight in Africa

The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria has disbursed USD336 million to help Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Nigeria purchase 50 million long-lasting insecticidal nets, according to

. The funding will help these nations achieve the "universal coverage targets of 80 (percent) coverage of long-lasting insecticidal nets by 2010," the fund said in a statement.
