After two decades working in the corporate sector, Kaushik Mitra — now head of marketing and communications at CARE India — decided to use his skills in branding and resource mobilization to contribute to organizations helping marginalized groups.

It is challenging but fulfilling work, Mitra said, and involves collaborating with a range of stakeholders. He encouraged other professionals who are passionate about social issues to consider a similar career transition.
