Guatemalan Food Crisis Appeal Underfunded, UN Says

The United Nations and its partner organizations have so far received only USD2.9 million of their USD34 million appeal since its launch last month, the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said. Hundreds of thousands of Guatemalans face severe food shortage amid a prolonged drought, considered the worst in Guatemala’s history.
