Haiti Receives Grant for Agricultural Goods Protection

The European Union has awarded 1.35 million euros (USD1.96 million) in grant to help protect crops and livestock from pests and diseases in Haiti. The grant also supports the vaccination of pigs and other animals against pig cholera and anthrax. It will also finance programs to control the spread of fruit flies and ants in the country's mango-producing regions. The grant will be managed by the Inter-American Development Bank.
