Haiti Reconstruction, Economy, Climate Change Top EU Summit Agenda

Leaders of the European Union are set to tackle quake-ravaged Haiti’s reconstruction along with top regional concerns when they gather for a summit in Brussels Feb. 11, The Associated Press reports. In a letter, EU President Herman Van Rompuy told heads of the 27-nation bloc that the meeting would table Europe’s long-term commitment to Haitian recovery, the region’s economic growth, and a global consensus on climate change.
