Haiti Reconstruction Plan Expected March 12

    A team of Haitian government officials and international experts are expected to complete and submit a reconstruction plan to the Haitian government on Friday, March 12, Doekle Wielinga, a disaster recovery specialist with the World Bank, tells Reuters. Wielinga leads the team, which is seeking to identify requirements for rebuilding the country’s economy and infrastructure. Following the Haitian government’s examination, the plan will be presented to international donors at a Haiti conference scheduled to take place March 31 in New York.
