Honduras Wins IDB Transportation, Disaster Prevention Aid

The Inter-American Development bank has signed a USD96 million loan agreement for road improvement and disaster prevention initiatives in Honduras.

Of the approved funds, USD77 million will spent for the upgrading of the agricultural road between Puerto Castilla and Tegucigalpa, the country’s capital. The remaining USD19 million will be used for a project designed to help Honduras better prepare for natural disasters, Honduras Weekly says.
