How to 'sell' resilience

    Resilience as a development concept has gotten a lot of buzz. But being a new notion, not many fully understand what it means.

    “It’s a bit of a sell,” Harold Brooks, senior vice president for international operations at the American Red Cross, told Devex on the sidelines of the 2013 Clinton Global Initiative annual gathering in New York. “We have to explain it but donors who have been at this for a while really appreciate and understand it especially if we can show and we can do that by doing preparedness.”
