IDB Backs Guyana's Fiscal Reforms

Guyana will be receiving USD5 million from the Inter-American Development Bank.

The budget support is the third and last programmatic policy-based loan from the regional bank in support of reforms to Guyana’s financial system. The loan is expected to help boost the transparency and strengthen supervision of Guyana’s financial system.

Including the new loan payment, IDB has provided USD15 million in support of reforming the country’s financial system since 2008.
