IDB Bolsters Flood Protection in Bolivia

The Inter-American Development Bank is providing USD30 million to help mitigate the risk of flooding in the cities of La Paz and El Alto in Bolivia.

The project aims to build, rehabilitate and expand storm drainage structures and prevent erosion in surrounding watersheds. It will also help to inform at least 195,000 people of the risks of settling in flood-prone areas.
