IDB Boosts Guyana's Financial Sector

The Inter-American Development Bank will extend a series of three USD5 million loans to support Guyana’s reform program aimed at improving the financial sector and expanding access to credit. The reforms are focused on enhancing the supervisory capacities of the Bank of Guyana by upgrading the financial sector’s regulatory framework as well as developing new financial instruments and removing credit access barriers.
