IDB Fund Offers Housing Aid for Haitian Quake Survivors

Some 2,000 Haitian families, whose homes were destroyed by the massive Jan. 12 earthquake, will benefit from a USD2.6 million grant from the Inter-American Development Bank’s Multilateral Investment Fund.

Latin American non-governmental organization Un Techo Para Mi Pais will manage the grant, which will be used to construct temporary housing in southwestern Haiti.

The project is estimated to cost USD6.1 million.
