The Inter-American Development Bank is seeking to expand and upgrade Colombia’s leading air terminal, the El Dorado International Airport in Bogota.

The bank is lending USD165 million for the project, which will help build a new terminal, a control tower, an additional fire station, infrastructure for international and domestic cargo, and an administrative building for Colombia’s civil aviation agency.

The project is expected to be completed by 2014.
