IDB OKs New Feedback Mechanism

The Inter-American Development Bank has approved a new policy providing a feedback mechanism where stakeholders and community members in project areas may air their concerns, ensuring transparency and strict monitoring of the implementation of bank-funded projects.

Called the Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism, the system is set come into force in 90 days and will serve as a venue for the public to air complaints and other feedback to IDB verbally or electronically. The new reporting system was approved following public consultation, eGov monitor reported.
