IDB Props Up Nicaragua's Food Production

The Inter-American Development Bank offered a USD220 million loan to increase access of rural communities to agrifood technology and business management skills. The program will help farmers buy technological goods and services to improve food and agriculture goods production. It will also educate financial service providers on the requirements of small producers. The country’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry will manage the initiative.
