IDB Sets Up Trade Promotion Fund

The Inter-American Development Bank unveiled the new Aid for Trade Strategic Thematic Fund to enable Latin American and Caribbean nations to gain from liberalized trade and increased market access. The fund will grant resources to help public and private sectors in the region overcome supply-side challenges. It will back activities relating to trade policy, negotiation and implementation agreements, private sector development, and trade-related adjustment schemes, among others.
