IFC, GTZ Help Philippines Bolster SME Lending

The International Finance Corp. and German Technical Cooperation are ready to provide technical assistance to the Philippine central bank to help enhance its supervisory and regulatory capacity for lending activities benefiting small and medium-sized enterprises. The two donors will assist the Philippine central bank in designing a training program for SME risk-based lending operations and drafting a manual of examination procedures for SME lending, according to Philippine Development Finance.
