Ikea Helps Send African Kids to School

    Children in some of the world’s poorest countries are able to go to school through support from donors like home furnishings retailer IKEA, currently UNICEF’s largest corporate donor. IKEA has raised some USD6 million through its “soft toy” drive in branches around the world to fund the education of children in six African countries through teacher training, construction of new school buildings and water and sanitation facilities, and provision of classroom supplies.
