IMF, Belgium Increase Cooperation in Capacity Building

Belgium is contributing euro2 million (USD2.7 million) to bolster the activities of the International Monetary Fund in capacity building, particularly in Belgium’s partner countries in Africa. The funding will support IMF technical advice and training, including for the forthcoming Tax Policy and Administration Topical Trust Fund.

The Belgian Development Cooperation has already provided euro3 million to support IMF technical advice and training in Africa in the areas of financial sector stability, fiscal, monetary and exchange rate policies, and macroeconomic and financial statistics.
