IMF Frees Funds for Afghanistan

The International Monetary Fund is

approximately USD8.89 million worth of special drawing rights to Afghanistan following its sixth review of the country's economic performance. IMF also agreed to extend its poverty reduction program in Afghanistan by three months as well as re-phase the disbursements of funds to the country.
