IMF Willing to Provide 'Immediate' Aid to Zimbabwe, Minister Says

The International Monetary Fund is ready to provide "immediate" assistance to cash-strapped Zimbabwe,

cited a state media report as saying. Missions from IMF, the World Bank and African Development Bank are currently in Zimbabwe to evaluate the landlocked African nation's aid needs. "The meeting was positive. They have told us that they are willing to immediately assist us," Minister for Economic Planning Elton Mangoma revealed.
