Special prayers have been held at the tomb of Mother Teresa in the Indian city of Calcutta to mark the 10th anniversary of her death. They were attended by hundreds of people, many of them drawn from some of the city’s poorest communities, to whom she had dedicated her life’s work. As dawn broke over Calcutta, hundreds of people gathered by her simple tomb at the headquarters of the Missionaries of Charity order she founded more than 60 years ago. They were drawn from all sections of society and also included a sizable number of international visitors.
