The state of Tamil Nadu in southern India has entered into a public-private partnership with the U.S-based Tamil Nadu Foundation for the upgrading of school facilities in the state. Under the memorandum of understanding signed by the two parties, the Tamil Nadu Foundation will regularly invest in school infrastructure projects across the state. The partnership will be valid for five years and may be further renewed for another two years upon review of results.
