India Seeks Massive Flood Aid Package

A special task force set up by the Confederation of Indian Industry advised the Indian government to secure some USD5.4 billion to USD6.5 billion of funding from foreign donors including the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the Asian Development Bank to assist the flood victims in the country’s Bihar region. The funding will be used to bring relief to the affected people and rehabilitate the region’s infrastructure.
