Indonesian Health Group Plans Sea Route to Gaza, Hopes to Build Hospital

The Medical Emergency Rescue Committee, or Mer-C, hopes to come into Gaza by sea to construct a trauma and rehabilitation center in the conflict-torn territory. The Indonesian health group is collaborating with Turkish humanitarian relief foundation Insani Yardim Vakfi concerning its plans, according to Mer-C founder Joserizal Jurnalis.

“We have collected [USD1.43 million] to build the hospital,” Joserizal told the Jakarta Globe. “Now we are trying to get into the area.”
