Irish Red Cross Touts Haiti Relief

    The Irish Red Cross raised more than 2 million euros (USD2.7 million) to support relief and recovery efforts in Haiti, which was left in rubble by a massive earthquake on Jan. 12. The organization said the money allowed it to step up its relief efforts, including the provision of food, shelter, water, sanitation and other basic supplies to earthquake victims, Ireland On-Line reports.
