Israel has concluded that it is not possible to reach a final peace agreement wit the Palestinian Authority at present, the Associated Press reports, citing Israeli government officials. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to deliver a speech in the coming weeks that hints at a shift in direction away from direct peace talks, the officials said. They add that Israeli government is considering alternative means of showing its commitment to keeping peace negotiations with the Palestinians alive.
