Iwan Jaya Azis Gets ADB Regional Integration Office's Top Post

Indonesian economist Iwan Jaya Azis is the new head of the Asian Development Bank’s Office of Regional Economic Integration.

Azis brings to his new position more than 33 years of experience in economics and research. He is currently the director of Cornell University’s graduate study for regional science. He has previously served as consultant for ADB’s regional think tank, the Asian Development Bank Institute, and its flagship publication, the Asian Development Outlook.

As head of OREI, Azis will be in charge of the bank’s efforts to promote closer regional ties among ADB member countries.
