U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has announced a public-private partnership that aims to help boost Japan’s economic prospects as it deals with the aftermath of the economically crippling earthquake and tsunami that hit the country on March 11, as well as the ongoing nuclear crisis in Fukushima. Clinton, who visited Japan as part of her Asian trip over the weekend, said the United States is ready to support state and private initiatives to boost Japan’s economy, the Wall Street Journal reports.
