Japan, ADB Help Curb Malnutrition in Indonesia

    will draw USD2 million from the Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction to help Indonesia develop iron-fortified rice to combat iron deficiency anemia. The grant will be used to evaluate the feasibility, cost and impact of providing iron-fortified rice under the nation's subsidized rice program as well as supply equipment to rice mills and promote awareness on the benefits of iron-fortified rice.
